SUMMARY OF PROPOSAL 41021 DR. KATSUJI KOYAMA KYOTO UNIV. KYOTO JAPAN 606-01 KYOTO KITASHIRAKAWA E-mail: TSUBOI@CR.SCPHYS.KYOTO-U.AC.JP Tel: (81)-75-753-3843 Fax: (81)-75-701-5377 Medium: 2.5GB8MM Subject: STARS Title: SERCH OF X-RAY REFLECTION NEBULA Abstract: G 7.4-1.4, G 14.2+0.1 and G 359.1-0.9 are diffuse X-ray sources discovered with Rosat. These are peculiar because they are not bright radio sources. Since the galactic Ridge spectrum shows strange feature 9very broad emission line at 1.8 and 6.7 keV) which has not been found in any known X-ray objects, we propose to observe unknown objects as possible candidate. Also these sources lie near the bright sources GX 5-1 and GX 13+1. We will search for reflected X-ray flux from the bright source. Particular interest is in the 6.4 keV line emission. Co-Is: 1 Y.
