The energy spectrum was scarcely constrained due to the short exposure (20 ksec). With an 80 ksec exposure, as proposed here, we will obtain a much better spectrum and perhaps be able to identify the X-ray emission mechanism in quiescence. This will constrain the spin period and magnetic field strength of the neutron star. We also will search for coherent pulsations down to a rms fractional variation of 20 %. In the unlikely event that the Rapid Burster is burst active, we will perform simultaneous observation with XTE, which provide us the best quality of data for both energy and timing analysis.
