Abstract: We exame if AGN exists in the famous starburst galaxie M82. Observations with ROSAT and ASCA of M82 show followings; 1) A soft nuclear point source with Lx=(3-6)e+39ergs/s was detected with ROSAT and showed time variability during the ROSAT observation. 2) A hard point-like source was detected with ASCA and Ginga at the nuclear region. The Xray luminosity has changed from 4e+40ergs/s to 2e+40 ergs/s between the two observations. 3) The ROSAT source and ASCA/Ginga hard source are different as they have different positions. The observational results show suspicion that M82 maight be a host of AGN. Ascertain the truth, we obtain deataled both soft and hard band images placing the M82 nuclear at the 1CCD mode nominal position, and investigatin a long term time variabilty.
