Notes on HXD data

1. General
The HXD public data cover the following observations:
- Cen A (PIN and GSO)
- PRS B1509-58 (PIN and GSO)
- Eta Carinae (PIN only)
- Cas A (PIN only)
The energy ranges currently supported are 12--80 keV for PIN and
50--200 keV for GSO, respectively. Please also read a note supplied
with each dataset carefully.
2. Background
Tha background data are supplied with the data. The background file
for PIN is the same (ao1public_hxd_pin_bkg.pha),
while that for GSO is different
(ae2005xxxx_xxxx_xxxx_hxd_wel_gso_bkg.pha). Please use the appropriate
file for each observation.
3. Response Matrices
Please use the following response matrices for the public data.
Note that the response matrix of GSO is different from that released
for AO-1 simulations. Please DO NOT USE the AO-1 response matrice for
the public data.
