  1. Development, calibration, and operation of X-ray instruments.
    • Operation of the X-ray CCD detector (XIS) onboard Suzaku.
    • Development of the X-ray micro-calorimeter detector (SXS) onboard ASTRO-H.
    • Cross-calibration of X-ray instruments (The International Astronomical Consortium for High Energy Calibration).
    • Development of direct-incidence X-ray optics with an active optics system (2005-2006).
    • Event reconstruction methods for X-ray CCD spectroscopy and polarimetry. Pile-up mitigation (2003-2005).
    • Performance verification of X-ray CCD cameras: CCD-CREST (1999-2000).
