Title: ASCA OBSERVATIONS OF STAR FORMING REGIONS B18 & #13 IN THE TAURUS MOLECULAR CLOUD

Abstract:
We propose to observe star forming regions B18 and #13 in the Taurus Molecular Cloud
with ASCA satellite. Our prime concern is how young stellar objects evolve.
Particularly we are interested in the changes of their X-ray luminousities with
evolution. Young stellar objects are deeply embedded, so X-ray emission of their
central stars is heavily absorbed. Especially in Classical T Tauri Stars, it is
thought that their X-ray luminousities determined by soft X-ray data are doubtful.
The anticipated data will allow us to determine accurate their X-ray luminosities
and will provide some information on the hidden central stars.
